How To Update...
Module Content
General Content in the CMS
The content management system (CMS) allows you to provide and modify content to be used in the proposals. Content includes images, files (e.g. PDFs) and text (e.g. paragraphs, basic labels, table data).
Images
Format: .JPG, .PNG are preferred.
Resolution: typically 150 dpi
Size:
Text
Paragraphs:
Paragraph content is entered via common WYSIWYG interface with basic formatting tools much like you would have in a word processing application (like MS Word or Google Docs).
NOTE:
When pasting preformated content into the WYSIWYG, hidden/extraneous code often comes along with and can cause problems later on. You can detect this code by moving the mouse around and watching the bottom bar of the WYSIWYG window. If you see "SPAN" or "DIV" there it usually means you have extra code. Here's some potential fixes:
- Avoid the issue by using Paste as Text – click this icon prior to pasting your text in place.
- Clear Formatting – highlight all your text and click the icon to
Then apply formatting (numbers, bullets, bold, italics, etc) as needed. Formatting at this point will ensure that only "good" code is stored.
Text Labels
Labels are single-line fields. They do not allow for formatting, but can be processed and automatically formatted by structured rules (e.g. a feature's heading).
Table Data
Formatting tables properly can be tricky. A simple way to get tables in is to use Excel (with its familiar rows and columns) as the source, then copy/paste them from there.

Files
Files are another type of content that can be provided and administered via the CMS. In most cases, these files are PDFs (with one or more pages) that are created with a graphic design program. Their layout and information is specific and precise. To edit them you must
- find the originating source files (usually InDesign)
- make the edits there
- save and export the PDF
When the replacement PDF is ready, go to Admin > Assets > Files and search for the file you wish to replace (browsing or filtering by category or name as needed). Select the file from the list to edit it, then upload the new file and automatically create a thumbnail image of it from the first page.
Uploading a replacement file will automatically swap the new file for the original file wherever it was being used.
